About the owner of the database

This website is owned and maintained by Hein Krammer. The collection of music, lyrics and arrangements grew from his main hobby, namely the Hungarian and Romanian gypsy music. He has been intensively engaged in this hobby since 1955. He learned the Hungarian and Romanian languages and visited these countries frequently. From books, discs, radio and orally from Hungarians and Romanians he gathered about 2000 songs and dance melodies, part of which is represented in this website.
