Tunes Editors have the right to add and delete tunes and edit the information about tunes. To add a tune to the database, click “New tune” in the menu. The form named “Add” appears, with the following entries.
As this form is used for both composed and collected tunes the entry “Arrangers” is also used for etnomusicologists who collected and transcribed the tune. Especially the entries “place” and “date” are suited for this type of folk tunes. The entry “description” can be used for several data. For instance: an alias title, the source from which this tune was transcribed, possible doubt about the authors, et cetera. After a tune has been added to the database, it can be edited deleted or bookmarked. Furthermore, it can be categorized and provided with attachments. This all can be done by clicking the tune and then clicking one of the buttons “edit”, “delete”, “Bookmark”, “categorize tune”, “add attachment”. The last three are explaned in the help files “Bookmark list”, “Categories” and “Adding attachments” respectively. When you click on the “edit” button at the top of the screen, it will bring you to the same form as what you can use when you want to add a new tune. When you click on the “delete” button at the top of the screen, it will bring you to a form with the text “Are you sure you want to delete the tune ...” and the self-evident buttons “confirm” en “cancel”. |
