Categories

This database contains a hierarchy of categories into which all tunes can be classified. Tunes may be classified in more than one category. Editors have the right to add, edit and delete categories.

To add a new category you click “New category” in the menu. This brings you to the form “add category” with the following entries.

  1. name: the name of the category.
  2. parent (drop-down list): the parent where the category is directly placed under.
  3. description: explanation of the meaning and use of the category.
  4. create: to save the category and exit this form.
  5. cancel: to exit this form without saving.

To edit or delete a category click “Categories” in the menu, and than click the name of the category. This brings you to a view showing the name of the category, its description and a list of all tunes classified under this category. Now you can click “edit”, “delete”, “Bookmark all” or “Unbookmark all”.

The “edit” button brings you to a similar form as used for adding a new category.

The “delete” button brings you to a form with the text “Are you sure that you want to delte ...” and the self-evident buttons “confirm” and “cancel”.
